Design a language your domain experts will actually use
Learn how to express complexity clearly, accelerate delivery, and protect institutional knowledge. If you’ve ever wondered how to create domain-specific languages that truly enhance your development process, this course is for you!
Build strategic advantage with DSLs
Domain-Specific Languages (DSLs) are purpose-built languages tailored to your business logic. They provide a way to express complexity clearly, accelerate delivery, and protect institutional knowledge. If you’ve ever wondered how to create domain-specific languages that truly enhance your development process, this course is for you!
What are the struggles?
It is nobody’s fault!
Don’t let outdated technology hold you back. Rising costs, security gaps, and limited scalability hold your business back. The longer you wait, the greater the impact. Modernize now to stay competitive and agile.
What can DSLs do?
A Domain-Specific Language (DSL) gives you the power to express complex ideas in a form that’s native to your business domain. Instead of bending general-purpose code to fit your needs, a DSL lets you encode rules, workflows, and logic in a way that’s intuitive, precise, and reusable.

Designing a DSL is a process,
not a recipe.
What you’ll get with
this course
There is no recipe to design a DSL: there is no standard solution to apply each time the same. Based on our experience, we have elaborated a process to implement an effective way to create a tool. A series of steps to make your company come together and create the tool that will make you more productive.

What this course covers that the free articles do not
Lessons 4 and 5 are an interactive process for designing a language and a DSL assessment: how to decide what the language must be able to say and, harder, what it must refuse. Grammar syntax is the part you can already learn for free; deciding what belongs in the language is the part that is not written down anywhere.
Lesson 3 is a guide to working out whether you should create a DSL at all. A course that could only ever conclude yes would not be worth your team’s time. Some domains are better served by a configuration file, and the lesson says when.
Lessons 7, 8 and 9 build a textual language and a graphical one, so the technology comparison in Lesson 6 is made against something you have implemented rather than read about. The bonus section adds worked examples and interviews with other practitioners.
This is not a recording you buy and watch alone. We deliver it for a team, so the questions asked during it are about your domain and your codebase. Contact us to book it.
