Legacy Languages are unique
Each legacy language has its own history and peculiarities
Real experience enables productivity
We are Language Engineering experts – we’ve never found a language we couldn’t handle.
Real-life experience with actual production projects does matter, though. Our knowledge and expertise means we’ve already experienced the most common problems and know typical program patterns.
RPG
We’ve worked on many projects involving IBM RPG 4, including actively developed codebases. We’ve seen both free-format and traditional format code and we have experience with previous versions of the language.
CL
CL (Control Language) scripts are used to manage AS/400 (IBM i ) platforms and launch RPG programs. We have helped companies deal with the language both in the context of migration from RPG and to simply change CL programs.
DB2 SQL
DB2 SQL is used on IBM platforms, by RPG or COBOL programs. Working on projects using these languages has enabled us to help companies move from DB2 to other databases, such as Oracle DB or PostgreSQL.
SAS
SAS is more than a language, it’s a whole system that handles the entire data journey, from storage to analysis. We’ve worked on many, many legacy projects using SAS.
COBOL
This venerable language has many variants and we’ve experienced them all including COBOL85, ACUCOBOL and Visual COBOL.
EGL
A higher-level universal language designed for application development. The language is typically translated to COBOL and/or Java.
VBA/VB6
We’ve worked Visual Basic 6 and Visual Basic for application languages and custom platforms using these languages.
